Safe Diagnostic Order

Verify

Record the game version, hardware, display resolution, current preset and exact moment the issue begins.

Baseline

Finish the Steam update, restart cleanly and compare default settings or the game's official Safe Mode.

Isolate

Change one relevant option, repeat the same scene and keep only changes that produce a repeatable improvement.

Do not combine a driver change, several graphics options, overlays and launch arguments in one test. When the result changes, you will not know which action mattered.

Funnel Runners Input Delay and Sluggish Mouse

HOTFIX #010.1 restored supported mouse bindings and changed input feedback around the new van parts. If Funnel Runners input delay or a sluggish mouse began around that update, first confirm the current binding displayed in settings and whether the delay occurs in gameplay, a repair minigame, or a menu.

Use this sequence:

Reset only the affected in-game binding or input option to its current default.
Apply the change and retest the same interaction.
Compare mouse and controller behavior separately if both are connected.
Record whether the delay is constant or appears only when highlighting an item, opening a menu or returning from Alt-Tab.

FPS Drops, Menus and Alt-Tab

HOTFIX #0.12.1 still lists performance problems in specific menus, when highlighting items and after Alt-Tab among the current known issues. That makes context more useful than a generic “low FPS” report.

Compare three short tests:

standing in the same uncomplicated gameplay area;
opening the menu or highlighting the same item; and
returning to the game after Alt-Tab.

If the problem appears only in one test, include that distinction in the report. If it affects every scene, test the default preset or Safe Mode before lowering unrelated settings one by one.

Funnel Runners AMD Stability Guidance

Patch Notes #011 says the update improved reliability and performance for players on AMD GPUs. The Steam discussion board also currently includes a developer-pinned AMD GPU stability and troubleshooting guide. Because its instructions can change with drivers and game builds, update the game first, then open the current pinned post and follow only the steps matching your hardware and version.

The patch does not provide benchmark numbers or claim that every AMD problem is fixed. This site does not reproduce an older driver number or system-level workaround from memory. Black Screen and Safe Mode

Hotfix 0.36.11 says it fixed a first-launch black screen affecting some new players. That is useful history, but it does not prove that every later black screen has the same cause.

Finish pending Steam updates, attempt a clean launch, then use the game's offered Safe Mode if the normal launch still fails. If the current build reproduces the problem, report it as a current symptom rather than applying unrelated launch fixes from an older version.
