How Van Repair Works
Funnel Runners van repair starts with the on-screen objective list for the current run. Find the supplies named by those objectives, return them to the van, complete the related repair or refill interaction, and start the vehicle after the required tasks have cleared.
Official material says that vehicle problems and item placement can change between runs. That means there is not a universal repair list, a guaranteed search route or one correct order that applies to every attempt.
How to Diagnose the Van
Check the current van objectives before searching the map. Official screenshots show tasks such as Change the Battery, Change the Fuses, Change the Tires, Fill the Coolant Reservoir, Fill the Fuel Tank, Fill the Oil Reservoir and Start the Van. The displayed tasks identify what that run currently requires; they are not proof that every task appears together in every run.
Official Devlog #003 also says that a dead battery shuts off the electronics inside the van. Loss of the van's electronic systems can therefore accompany a battery problem, but the active objective list remains the clearest source for the current run's required repairs.
Confirmed Van Problems
Flat Tires
Flat tires are confirmed by official Devlogs #002 and #003. Devlog #002 gives the most complete officially documented repair example: a flat tire requires a scissor jack, a toolbox and a new tire. After collecting those items, players return to the van and complete the repair interaction.
The sources do not confirm that a tire task appears in every run or that any one building always contains the required equipment.
Blown Fuses
Blown fuses are confirmed by official Devlog #003 and by official task UI. The available sources show that replacement fuses can be required and that the repair is completed at the van. A universal number of fuses or fixed sequence of panel inputs is not confirmed by available sources.
Dead Battery
A dead battery is an officially confirmed vehicle problem. Devlog #003 says it disables the electronics inside the van, and official screenshots show a Change the Battery objective. The evidence confirms the replacement battery, but it does not establish extra tools, a guaranteed battery location or a fixed number of battery tasks.
Fuel, Oil and Coolant Problems
Official material confirms that the van may need fuel or oil, while official screenshots also show coolant, fuel and oil reservoir objectives. Treat each displayed refill task as a current-run requirement. Exact quantities, container counts and guaranteed item locations are not confirmed by available sources.
Confirmed Repair Tools and Parts
Tire Repair Requirements
The only complete tool-and-part combination documented in the available official repair Devlog is:
- Scissor jack
- Toolbox
- New tire
This combination applies to the official flat-tire example. It should not be expanded into a claimed list of everything needed for every vehicle problem.
Fuses and Battery
Replacement fuses and a replacement battery are confirmed repair items. The evidence does not confirm additional tools, fixed quantities or a universal interaction sequence for these repairs. Those details are not confirmed by available sources.
Fuel, Oil and Coolant
Fuel, oil and coolant are confirmed by official descriptions or task UI as supplies used to restore the van. The available evidence supports bringing the required supply back to the appropriate van interaction, but not a fixed amount or a guaranteed source location.
How Repair Minigames Work
Official Devlog #002 describes vehicle work as reaction-based repair minigames performed after the required supplies are brought back to the van. The recorded run below also shows interactive fuel and fuse work. The exact input pattern, timing and difficulty should be treated as version-sensitive Early Access behavior rather than a permanent mechanic.
Repair Workflow
- Read the current objectives. Identify only the faults and refills assigned to this run.
- Search for the named supplies. Do not rely on a location from a screenshot or one playthrough.
- Return the matching items to the van. Keep unrelated gadgets separate from required repair supplies.
- Complete the repair or refill interaction. Follow the prompts shown by the current build.
- Check that the task has cleared. Repeat the process for the remaining current-run objectives.
- Start the van and escape. Leave after the required vehicle tasks are complete.
This is a verification-friendly workflow, not a universal best order. Weather, map generation, available supplies and the assigned faults can change what is practical in a particular run.
One Recorded Run
The following sequence comes from one Laggin24x playthrough collected on August 9, 2026. It illustrates the official repair system, but it is one recorded run, not a route or checklist that every player will receive.
- At approximately 0:29, the run's task list showed fuses, coolant and fuel.
- At approximately 2:58, the player returned fuel to the van and completed a timing-based interaction.
- At approximately 6:34, the player opened the fuse panel and installed replacement fuses.
- Coolant was found later in that particular map, then added to the van at approximately 13:40.
- At approximately 14:41, the completed vehicle was started and used to escape.
The building where an item appeared in this video is not a fixed spawn location. The three-task combination is not a universal repair list, and the order shown in the video is not a universal best order.
What Changes Between Runs
The official Steam description says that item placement and vehicle problems are randomized. The Early Access listing also describes six vehicle repair parts, but the available evidence does not provide a reliable, complete name-by-name list that should be presented as a permanent six-piece set.
Use the current objectives and the current game build as the authority during a run. Treat screenshots, development logs and recorded examples as evidence of possible mechanics, not guarantees about every generated map.
Version Baseline
This guide uses Version baseline 0.36.11, the latest build verified in the site's evidence pack as of August 9, 2026. Version 0.36.11 was released on August 6, 2026 as a hotfix for a first-launch black-screen problem; the repair evidence itself comes from official March 2026 development logs, official screenshots and the recorded run listed below.
Funnel Runners remains in Early Access. Repair objectives, item requirements, interactions and balance may change after this source-check date, so this page does not present current observations as permanent mechanics.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does Funnel Runners van repair work?
Read the active on-screen van objectives. They identify the repairs and refills required for the current run. Do not assume that another run's task list will match yours.
Does every run require the same van repairs?
No. Official sources describe randomized vehicle problems and item placement, so there is no confirmed universal repair list.
What do you need to repair a flat tire?
Official Devlog #002 documents a scissor jack, a toolbox and a new tire for its flat-tire repair example.
Where do van repair items spawn?
Fixed repair-item spawn locations are not confirmed by available sources. A location seen in one screenshot or recorded run should not be treated as guaranteed.
What is the best order for repairing the van?
A universal best order is not confirmed by available sources. Use the current objectives, the supplies you find and the changing weather to decide what to handle next.
Are there exactly six required repair items in every run?
No. Steam's Early Access snapshot lists six vehicle repair parts as a content category, but the sources do not confirm that every run requires all six or provide a reliable complete name-by-name set.
Do van repairs use minigames?
Yes. Official Devlog #002 describes reaction-based repair minigames after the required supplies are returned to the van. Exact inputs may change during Early Access.
What version does this guide cover?
The evidence baseline is version 0.36.11, checked on August 9, 2026. Repair behavior may change in later Early Access updates.
Sources and Editorial Status
The repair-system summary and flat-tire requirements come from official developer material. Official Press Kit and Steam gallery images support the listed task names and visible repair items.
