What Is Funnel Runners?

Funnel Runners is an Early Access storm-survival game developed and published by Supernova Studios LLC. Its premise places the crew with APEX Storm Monitoring Services inside a suburb being torn apart by severe weather. The game can be played alone or in online co-op with up to eight players.

The central objective is to get a disabled van ready to move. Players search the environment for fuel, repair supplies, tools and key vehicle parts, then return to the van to complete the required interactions. Buildings can be damaged as conditions worsen, and the official description says that the environment, weather, item placement and vehicle problems can change between runs.

The run ends by repairing and starting the van, then escaping before the final tornado arrives. The exact task list and search route are not fixed, so one recorded playthrough should not be treated as a universal solution.

Funnel Runners Gameplay: How a Run Works

1. Diagnose the van

The van may begin with a randomized set of problems. Official material confirms examples involving tires, fuses, the battery, fuel, oil and coolant, but it does not establish one fixed repair list for every run. A universal repair list is not confirmed by available sources. Start by checking the current in-game objectives instead of following a memorized parts order.

2. Search the current map

Explore the generated environment for the supplies named by the current objectives. The available evidence confirms that locations and possible item positions are randomized. A screenshot or a single recorded run cannot prove a guaranteed spawn location.

3. Return and complete the repairs

Bring the required supplies back to the van and complete the related interactions. Official development notes describe reaction-based repair minigames. The tools, parts and sequence required depend on the problems assigned to that run.

4. Start the van and escape

After the required vehicle tasks are complete, the crew can start the van and leave. Dynamic weather and environmental destruction remain part of the pressure throughout the run.

Early Access Content Snapshot

As checked on August 9, 2026, the official Steam page listed one playable biome, American Suburbs, with three randomly selected map variations and 15 weather variations. The same Early Access snapshot listed six health or stamina items, six vehicle repair parts, six gadgets and 35 Steam achievements.

Latest Verified Update

The current evidence baseline is version 0.36.11, released on August 6, 2026. The official hotfix notes say it addressed a black screen that affected some players on first launch.
